Carpenter & handyman

Our qualified carpenter and handyman, Jamie, can turn his hands to anything from fixtures and fittings to working on new kitchens and bathrooms, and more. His is the only trade that we employ directly, for everything else, we use our pool of regular contractors, sourcing as many as possible from the local area.

A very familiar face to many of our long-term residents, he has worked in De Beauvoir Town almost his entire life. “I’ve been here so long that I frequently get stopped in the street by tenants who need something or other fixed – it’s a hazard walking down Southgate Road sometimes!”

Having started his career on a Government-backed apprenticeship training scheme, Jamie then worked for the company that was previously responsible for managing refurbishments and maintenance of all our properties. Jamie joined The Benyon Estate team full time in 2012.
