Carpenter
Son of our carpenter and handyman Jamie Brickwood, Jamie Junior is definitely a chip off the old block!
Jamie first worked for The Benyon Estate when he was 16 years old, with another contractor. He has since completed a Diploma in Carpentry and a Level 2 apprenticeship qualification in Carpentry and Bench Joinery, in which he was awarded a Distinction.
Day to day, he’s responsible for small maintenance jobs, as well as bigger projects such as kitchen installations and sash window fitting & repairs – a particular favourite part of his role. He also enjoys meeting people from all different walks of life.
What’s it like working for his dad though, is he a tough boss?
“He is pretty firm, but has all the knowledge I need…and he still listens when I try to teach him a couple of tricks,” said Jamie Jnr.
