Becky McLoughlin
De Beauvoir Block receptionist
Becky joined the team as our De Beauvoir Block receptionist in July 2022.
A former Art and Design student in her home county of Hertfordshire, Becky went on to study Theatre Hair and Make-up at Brighton Metropolitan College, but decided against pursuing it as a career. Before taking the job at The Benyon Estate, she worked in the sharing economy sector as a customer services supervisor with a children’s toys rental company.
Becky has wide-ranging responsibilities and is very much a central point of contact for the Block on a daily basis. Her role includes opening up the building in the morning and inspecting it, as well as welcoming tenants and maintaining strong professional relationships with them.
Much of her day is also spent answering phones calls, as well as booking meeting rooms and organising day passes for those visitors who want to hot desk temporarily at the Block.
She enjoys the variety of her day-to-day duties, engaging with both visitors and those that work at the Block.
“Having worked in the sharing economy before, I just love the way people come together and network in a sharing community. I find that really cool,” said Becky.
“I particularly enjoy helping those people who are interested in taking space in the building more permanently, giving them tours and explaining what we do, then hopefully signing them up, at the end.
“I think that’s the best part of the job for me, meeting lots of different, interesting people.”
