On Saturday 8th July residents, families and businesses from across De Beauvoir Town gathered to enjoy the annual Party in the Park in De Beauvoir Square, organised by the De Beauvoir Association.
The sun was shining as everyone enjoyed the range of activities, games and crafts on offer, including hula-hooping, face painting and jewellery making. The Majestic Brass Band was also on hand keeping everyone in high spirits.
The giveaway stall was a favourite on the day, where children were invited to choose a book, toy or game for free, all kindly donated by local residents. There were also a BBQ and range of sweet and savoury snacks to enjoy, as well as stalls selling everything from books to sweets.
Edward Benyon, Estates Director for Benyon Estate said: “Every year, the whole community comes together to put on a fantastic afternoon and this year was no different. We thoroughly enjoyed spending the afternoon in the sunshine and seeing people from all corners of the estate come together to have fun.
“The event is supported by residents, business and individuals from across De Beauvoir Town, including all the hard work put in by the De Beauvoir Association, the De Beauvoir Women’s Institute and the team at St Peter’s Church. I’d like to thank all involved for what was an excellent afternoon.”
