The Benyon Estate is proud to once again be supporting the De Beauvoir Party in the Park, now in its 13th year.
The highlight of the summer calendar for many in the community, this year’s event will take place on Saturday 8 July at 2pm–5pm, with sports, crafts and games for children and adults alike to enjoy in the gardens of De Beauvoir Square.
Children are welcome to browse the giveaway stall, where they can get a book or toy for free, kindly donated by local residents.
You can also enjoy a bite to eat – a host of locally baked sweet and savoury delights or food freshly made by the BBQ team – as you listen to the Majestic Brass Band, who are on hand to ensure a real party atmosphere.
Edward Benyon, Estate Manager says: “The Party in the Park is an opportunity for the community to come together and simply have a good time. Year on year, it is fantastic to see local businesses, residents and friends supporting this initiative and showing true community spirit and celebration, whether it be through sponsorship, resources or their time.”
Organised by the De Beauvoir Association, the event epitomises the Association’s objectives to improve the quality of life and social cohesion in the community.
Samantha Selmes, Chair of the De Beauvoir Association said: “Every year, we are thrilled to see the support of the local community for the Party in the Park and we welcome people from all corners of the neighbourhood to enjoy an afternoon together.
“This event couldn’t happen without our volunteers, residents and businesses, and we are thankful to all involved, for their continued time, effort and support. Seeing everyone at the event makes it all worthwhile.”
