Business tenants at the new De Beauvoir Block have enjoyed an exclusive opening party (Thursday November 23rd 2017) with some of Hackney’s most up-and-coming creative firms.
The borough of Hackney reportedly has more creative people than any other local authority area in London and the De Beauvoir Block boasts some of the industry’s finest; among them the model and designer Alexa Chung’s fashion label, ALEXACHUNG, as well as communications consultancies, casting agencies and design companies.
Edward Benyon, Estates Director, said: “We’ve welcomed all our tenants into the Block one-by-one over the past few months but this is the first time we’ve had everyone together to celebrate the opening of our creative hub and the talented firms that have chosen to locate their businesses here.
“These workspaces have been designed to inspire a creative community and encourage collaboration, so we were keen to bring everyone together to celebrate and start conversations.”
Following the official opening by Meg Hillier MP in October, tenants were welcomed by Edward Benyon and the De Beauvoir Block team for an evening of drinks and canapes.
The Block has 33 workspaces of varying size with communal facilities, including a hot desking area, an on-site café and shared courtyard, providing a creative hub for like-minded professionals to grow their businesses, network and socialise.
