Maintenance Manager

Our qualified Maintenance Manager, Jamie, was formerly the Estate’s carpenter and handyman and has been caring for our properties since 2000, initially as a contractor, becoming a full-time member of the Benyon Estate team in 2012.

Since 2026 he has overseen the regular maintenance programme on our residential properties and organised and checked the work of contractors who are called in to update and refurbish homes when they become empty, before new tenants move in.

Jamie is a very familiar face to many of our long-term residents, having worked in De Beauvoir Town almost his entire life. “I’ve been here so long that I frequently get stopped in the street by tenants who need something or other fixed – it’s a hazard walking down Southgate Road sometimes!”

A keen runner with several marathons under his belt, Jamie started his career on a Government-backed apprenticeship training scheme. He started working on the Benyon Estate as a self-employed handyman, moved to the company that was previously responsible for managing refurbishments and maintenance of all our properties and finally joined the team.
