Spice Island

It was demand from local residents and workers in De Beauvoir Town which inspired Kasru Miah to expand his curry house from a takeaway-only into a fully-fledged restaurant with 32 covers. “When customers were choosing to sit on the floor so that they could eat here, I thought perhaps it was time to think bigger,” he explains.

Like any small business owner, if you don’t have a good landlord, it’s nearly impossible to make it work. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the support of Edward Benyon and the team.

“Like any small business owner, if you don’t have a good landlord, it’s nearly impossible to make it work,” believes Kasru. “I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the support of Edward Benyon and the team. I feel extremely lucky.”

The restaurant is open seven days a week, including bank holidays.
