Congratulations to the You Make It graduates!
A huge congratulations to the latest graduates of the You Make It (YMI) employment programme, who were celebrated at a graduation ceremony held at the De Beauvoir Block earlier this month.
It was a fantastic turnout to recognise their hard work and talents, and for people to find out more about the charity.
The speeches from graduates and YMI’s Founder Asma Shah were hugely inspiring, both bringing the room to tears and lifting them with laughter.
YMI runs a free-of-charge scheme for young, unemployed women in Hackney and Islington. Over four months, the women take part in group learning, 1-1 mentoring, work experience, start-up support, pastoral care and counselling, to help them realise their passions and pursue their goals.
The Benyon Estate was thrilled to support the charity and host the event at The Block.
