The Benyon Estate would like to offer its sincere congratulations to Hackney New Primary School which has achieved an outstanding rating by education inspectorate, Ofsted.

Ofsted report includes several judgement areas such as effectiveness of leadership and management, and the personal development, behaviour and welfare of pupils. The school achieved ‘Outstanding’ across the board, which is a testament to the staff’s efforts and hard work.

Inspectors found that headteacher Siobhan Campbell provides “excellent leadership”, is “highly ambitious” and is supported by a team of “dedicated” staff who “share her drive and commitment”.

This was the specialist music school’s first Ofsted inspection since opening three years ago.

The outstanding designation is an incredible achievement, particularly for a school so young, and bodes well for its continued expansion as pupils and staff look forward to moving into their new premises next Easter.

The Benyon Estate and developers Thornsett are proud to be the development partners bringing forth the new 350-pupil school which is under construction at the site of the former Kingsland Road fire station.

Staff and pupils have been working out of temporary portable cabins while their state-of-the-art new building is constructed.

Their new two and three storey school will include a roof garden and a multi-use outdoor space. It is set to be an inspiring and innovative space befitting of an outstanding school.
