The diary is filling up at De Beauvoir Block where events to feed the body and the mind are taking place as spring turns to summer.

The Block is at the heart of a vibrant, creative community full of talented businesses and inspiring individuals.

With modern co-working spaces, communal outdoor space and the all-important on-site café, it’s both a place to work and a place to play.

Work spaces at The Block are in demand and a new let has been agreed on a 900 sq ft open-plan office. Keep an eye out to see who’s moved in, we’ll be making the introductions soon.

But it’s not all about work. We have lots of exciting activities lined up at The Block which gives our tenants and the wider community the perfect opportunity to meet with one another and be inspired.

From Thirsty Thursday networking events for people to catch up and enjoy a refreshing drink, to workshops and fascinating debates, there’s something for everyone.

The thought-providing De Beauvoir Balloon Debates are back this month with lively discussion promised on 16th May when three speakers will be setting out their ideas – and audience members can vote for their favourite.

With the promise of better weather, the summer barbecue is planned for 29th May from 12noon to 2pm – let’s all hope for some sunshine.

We’ve also welcomed the De Beauvoir Women’s Institute (WI) for their monthly meetings, held on the first Thursday of the month from 7:30pm onwards.

The WI are always on the lookout for new members to join them. So, if you’re over the age of 18 and would like to get involved, email debeauvoirwi@gmail.com to find out more. The first meeting is free with no need to book.

Thank you to all our Block members and tenants for their understanding about the upcoming works on the roof across 94 and 96 De Beauvoir Road starting on Monday 3rd June.

The Block reception, café, meeting room, co-working spaces and delivery lock-ups will continue to be accessible and unaffected by the work.
