Selected Works expand into 98 De Beauvoir Road

A specialist visual effects company has expanded its business into our commercial space at 98 De Beauvoir Road.

Selected Works, who work in the advertising, film and TV industry, haven’t moved far, in fact they relocated right next door from De Beauvoir Block! They first moved into our commercial space at The Block in August 2022, but Managing Director, Sean Costelloe, said: “we’d had our eye on the space for at least a year before.”

The VFX and Advertising community was historically based in Soho, but the move to De Beauvoir was prompted when Sean and the team began looking for a new, more interesting, creative space to grow the business. He explained:

“De Beauvoir is a lovely area. Having previously worked in Soho, it felt like a very welcome change. Leafier, less hectic, but with terrific pubs, restaurants and cafes, plus it’s bursting with creative vibrancy.

The flexible terms, infrastructure, amenities, and creative community at The Block held significant appeal to Selected Works. But as the team continued to grow, they spoke with our Head of Commercial Property, Josh Summers about our office spaces next door at 98 De Beauvoir Road.  

Sean said: “The Benyon Estate have been a great fit for Selected Works. We have grown with them, expanding into a new, much larger space, more than doubling our original footprint. The team have been really helpful and supportive.”

98 – 100 De Beauvoir Road is a pair of connected former Edwardian industrial buildings, which have been designed so that they can be let to a single occupant or on a floor-by-floor basis.

Josh Summers added: “De Beauvoir is full of creative businesses, and we’ve formed a fantastic, inspiring community here. When Sean and the team reached out to say they were looking for a new space to grow into, we were more than happy to help them achieve this vision.

“We can’t wait to see what’s next for Selected Works and we wish them all the best in their new home.”

Selected Works provide high-end visual effects and colour grading for advertising, working with the country’s top production companies and agencies.
