New tenants creating a positive buzz at The Block

Music agency Leland, which has collaborated with household names like Nike and Google and worked on the hugely popular John Lewis Christmas advert, is relishing the busy and creative atmosphere of De Beauvoir, after moving into premises in The Block.

We’re so pleased to welcome the company, a music supervision and composer representation agency, whose credits include major advertising campaigns and award-winning film and TV productions.

The female founded business, set up 20 years ago, represents a boutique roster of composers. Leland was based in Tufnell Park before moving to the Benyon Estate and the eight-strong team are really enjoying the new location.

Dhamirah Coombes, Music Supervisor said: “We were ready for a change of scenery and wanted to be in a part of London that is more creatively in-tune with the industries we work in. We love being in sunny De Beauvoir and are looking forward to meeting more of our neighbours”.

As well as Nike, Google and department store John Lewis, the agency has spearheaded iconic advertising campaigns for The Paralympics, The Super Bowl and Samsung.

In film and television Leland has collaborated on projects including Netflix's 'Top Boy', Steve McQueen’s 'Small Axe', Kevin Macdonald's 'The Mauritanian', and Nicôle Lecky's 'Mood'. It also supports education, training and internships to encourage new entrants to the industry.

Leland partners with Black Lives in Music, the organisation at the vanguard of the effort to combat racism, uniting organisations and musicians to create a truly inclusive and diverse music industry.

De Beauvoir Block has established itself at the heart of the creative industry of East London, offering like-minded individuals a space to meet, share and grow.
