An advertising services agency with clients that include Premier League title winners Arsenal, social platform Snapchat and fashion brand Whistles has moved into De Beauvoir Block, adding to the wealth of creative talent based here.

Founder and director Louis Persent said he and the 15-strong team at Weirdo already feel at home and are enjoying their spacious new offices, break-out areas, the De Beauvoir Block café and the gym.

“I think everybody loves it here,” he said. “We’ve got quite a young team who come from lots of different areas of London.  De Beauvoir is both a bit of an island, and still part of the city.  Moving here has made us feel a bit more grown up as an agency.”

Louis founded Weirdo during the coronavirus lockdown, initially working from home.  The business has grown and moved to different offices around the capital, but when space at The Block became available, he jumped at the chance to become a commercial tenant.

“I live quite close to The Block and I have been past lots of times and I could see the kind of companies that were based here,” he said.  “It is a good fit for our business.”

Louis is a former athlete. Between 2008 and 2015 he enjoyed major success, including winning medals at the World and European Under20 championships and the European Under23 championships, running the 400m and 400m relay.

Injury forced early retirement from sport and he moved into advertising, initially working for agencies with major clients in the big technology sector.

The philosophy at Weirdo puts the emphasis on helping brands put people first in their campaigns, which Louis believes is vital with the rise of AI in advertising.

“We really want to challenge the cheapening of creativity by AI. So we focus on creating work that only real people working together can make" he said. “We're far from being anti-technology, but we're cynical of the short-cuts a lot of the bigger agencies are making. We believe that makes what we do all the more valuable.”

Among the company’s recent campaigns is the launch video for the 2026-2027 Arsenal home kit which features a series of phone calls between fans around the world and the club’s star players.  It includes filming between the UK and New York, demonstrating that Weirdo is already punching well above its weight.

Josh Summers, our Head of Commercial Property, said it was a pleasure to welcome Weirdo to De Beauvoir Block.  “There is a definite sense that businesses are attracted to The Block not just because of the great facilities and support we offer, but also because they feel they fit in here.  There is a real buzz about the place.”
